International Pizza Day is celebrated every year on February 9.
The classic Margherita was created by the Italian Raffaelle Esposito about 200 years ago, and the prototypes of pizza existed in the ancient world. For example, in ancient Greece and later in Rome, flat bread was made with olives, herbs and oil. The Persian warriors baked cakes with spices, dates, and cheese on their own shields.
Pizza gained the greatest popularity after the end of World War II. Residents of each country add something of their own to this dish, but it is Italian pizza that has more than 1000 recipes for your favourite dish around the world.
Together with our students on this day, we will learn a lot of interesting things about this dish, and during the culinary master class we will cook pizza together!
