Today marks 38 years since the Chornobyl disaster, which became one of the biggest disasters in nuclear energy.
This event resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives and huge environmental damage.
Every year, Ukraine honours the memory of those who suffered from this tragedy and thanks the liquidators who fought against its consequences.
