Every year on June 18, the world celebrates an unofficial but delicious holiday – International Sushi Day .
Sushi is a traditional Japanese dish consisting of rice, a variety of seafood or meat, often with herbs/seaweed and melted cheese. In European countries, the most common types of sushi are maki-zushi (twisted in a hole) and nigiri-zushi (pressed rice covered with fish). The symbol of Japanese cuisine originated in South Asia, and in the 7th century it spread to Japan. Rice sushi originated in the 17th century.
Our chef will show students how to taste this dish, and for those who don’t like traditional sushi, there is a sweet version of the dish that everyone will definitely enjoy.
