The students presented their creative projects as part of the school-wide City project, which lasted for three weeks. The aim of this project was not only to consolidate their knowledge of different styles of architecture, but also to broaden their understanding of architectural art. The children were introduced to the concepts of “layout” and “modelling” while actively working on creating a miniature city. Throughout this creative process, the students embodied their ideas by creating different areas of the city. Their model included residential buildings, recreational areas, a river with a ferry, railway tracks, an airport, hospitals, fire stations, schools and shopping centres. This project enabled the children to apply their knowledge and develop their creative skills. As a result of the labour process, the students not only deepened their understanding of architecture, but also developed skills in teamwork and creative thinking, which is important for their overall development.
