Indian Mythology Day

Indian myths appeared around the second millennium BC. In different eras, Hindus worshipped different gods. The most important among them were: Brahma is the father god, the ancestor of all things, one of the three rulers of the universe, as well as Vishnu and Shiva, who together with Brahma ruled the universe.

As in the myths of other nations, Indian mythology had creatures that opposed the gods and harmed people. These are snake-like monsters – asuras, demons and giants. Despite being the older brothers of the gods, they later became their sworn enemies, fighting for dominance over the world. The struggle between good and evil, the natural elements and their overcoming, and human life – the main themes of Indian myths.

The students travelled through the myths, prepared themed performances, and took part in competitions and quizzes. Indian mythology was presented by first grade students.
