The Norse mythology, which is part of the Old Germanic mythology, tells the story of the ancient Scandinavians. The Norse gods look like stern warriors and are often depicted with wild animals such as wolves and boars.
The supreme god of the Scandinavians is the one-eyed Odin. Legend has it that Odin and his brothers created and populated the world. They made a man out of an ash tree and a woman out of an alder tree, and that’s how the first humans appeared: the man Ask and the woman Embla. In addition to Odin, there are twelve other gods: Thor, Baldr, Thjur, Heimdall, Bragi, Hed, Vidar, Vali, Ulle, Njerd, Freyr and Loki.
The students traveled through the world of myths, prepared themed performances, took part in competitions and quizzes. The Scandinavian mythology was presented by 2nd grade students.
