The Ukrainian Homoku and Renju Championships were held in Lviv.
Lviv British School was represented at the championships by two participants: 2nd grade student Valeria Ch. and her coach, Mr Oleksandr Ulan, President of the Ukrainian Federation of Renju and Homoku, physical education teacher and strategic games coach at Lviv British School.
The competition was held in a cosy atmosphere, but in a tense struggle between the strongest players in Ukraine.
Valeriia has only recently started playing gomoku, but her perseverance and great desire brought her brilliant results:
- 1st place among girls in homoku;
- Renju – 1st place among women.
Oleksandr took 2nd place in the Ukrainian Championship in homoku and 3rd place in renju, fulfilling the standards for the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine.
