We have a large number of bilingual students in our school, so we organised a competition to allow them to demonstrate their language skills. The first stage of this event took place in the classrooms, where children presented their knowledge and skills. Then the winners of this stage went on to the school competition, where they competed for the title of best speaker. Participants competed in various categories to demonstrate their language skills. These categories included telling a story about themselves, describing a picture or situation, correct pronunciation, word guessing and even debating on language topics. Each of these categories contributed to the development of the students’ speaking abilities and confidence in the language. The competition will help our students not only to showcase their knowledge and skills, but also to promote linguistic diversity and mutual understanding among students. This event will encourage them to actively learn and use the language in everyday life.
