Bees, along with other pollinators such as butterflies, bats, and hummingbirds, are increasingly under threat from human activities. Pollination is a crucial process for the survival of our ecosystems. Almost 90% of the world’s flowering plants rely partially or completely on animal pollination. This includes more than 75% of the world’s food crops and 35% of the world’s agricultural land. Pollinators not only contribute directly to food security, but are also vital for biodiversity conservation
Students will learn about these fascinating insects and how they benefit humans and plants. We cook dishes with honey and paint honey utensils.
