Heroes of Heavenly Hundred Day

Today, Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes, which is celebrated at the state level. This holiday commemorates the most tragic events of the Revolution of Dignity in 2013-2014, when protesters were shot dead by the authorities. The day was established by a decree of the President of Ukraine to honour the great human, civil and national courage that changed the history of the country.

The memorial day is aimed at celebrating the dedication, strength of spirit and resilience of citizens who stood up to tyranny and defended their rights and freedoms. Their feat is considered to be a symbol of the struggle for dignity and democracy that will always be honoured by the Ukrainian people.

This day reminds us of the importance of standing up for truth and justice, as well as the need to remember and honour those who sacrificed their lives for the future of our country.
