Ukraine was once known as the “land of clay”, and the work of local potters won awards at numerous exhibitions, attracting the attention of viewers with large pots, makitras, jugs, painted bowls and toys.
Pottery reflects the best features of the Ukrainian people: love of work, high moral qualities, a sense of beauty and harmony, the ability to decorate their lives and make their everyday life comfortable and aesthetically perfect.
The pupils have learnt about this complex craft and will try to create their own pottery in an interesting way. Each class made their own amphora, filling it with their own symbols and meanings.
