Today we honour the memory of the great artist Taras Shevchenko by recreating his images and reproducing his works.
Taras Shevchenko is not only the great Kobzar, but also a symbol of national pride for every Ukrainian. He not only distinguished himself as an outstanding poet and artist, but also became an immortal symbol of the struggle for truth, freedom and independence.
His works have been repeatedly translated and recognised worldwide as masterpieces of Ukrainian literature. In his poems and drawings, Shevchenko reflected the deep spirit of the people and their desire to achieve a better future.
