Yesterday, students of our school took part in the internal draughts tournament “Draughts Relay”, where they competed to improve their skills in this game. Playing draughts is a great way to spend your free time, as this game improves brain function, memory, logical thinking and concentration. The aim of the tournament was to create conditions for children’s intellectual growth, develop their skills of calculating several moves ahead, train their memory, attention, ingenuity and wit. In addition, the tournament helped develop the ability to win and lose with dignity.
